The Economics Debate – Grand Final – LSE v Oxford v UCL

The IEA is delighted to be hosting the Grand Final of The Economics Debate, a competition between students from UCL, Oxford, and LSE, who will be asked to debate about pressing economic issues.

Preliminary rounds will be held at each university and the winning team from each university will progress to the Grand Final at the IEA, where a distinguished panel of judges will decide on the winning university.

Judges:

  • Dr Steve Davies, Head of Education, IEA

  • Dr. Arthur Turrell, Bank of England

  • Professor Philip Booth, IEA and St Mary’s University


There will be three 30 minute debates allowing each university a chance to debate the other two. Following the debates there will be a drinks reception and the prizes will be awarded.
