Boycotts cause more harm than good

Following calls to boycott Primark due to poor working conditions in Bangladesh, Philip Booth appeared on BBC Radio London to discuss why this isn't the solution.

When challenged on the morality of supporting these multi-national businesses, Professor Booth stated that boycotts have the potential to cause more harm than good to workers suffering under these conditions. Professor Booth agreed that public pressure should be applied, but warns consumers to be wary of the consequences of boycotting.
