IEA Director General Mark Littlewood appeared on the Jeremy Vine show on BBC Radio Two discussing the rise in employment of UK nationals in low-skilled jobs. He argued that it was the sucess of individuals, companies and, in part, government welfare reforms for making work more attractive. He discussed the fact that Britain attracts investment and workers from other economies as a sign of a vibrant and dynamic economy. Furthermore, he argued there is the need to improve education so that UK nationals go into high skill jobs and for businesses to get the best workers they can to be efficient.
