Care should be taken when it comes to the minimum wage

Ryan Bourne, Head of Public Policy at the IEA featured on BBC London's Breakfast show to disucss the recent government announcment of a 3% increase in the minimum wage. Ryan illustrates the potentially negative impact an increase to the minimum wage could have. While there are those that will benefit, a higher minimum wage might cause a reduction in job creation and result in the young and unskilled losing out.
