Ruth Porter appeared on BBC Two's Daily Politics to discuss Zero Hour Contracts. Ruth argued that the answer to job insecurity is not to increase regulation on employers but to look at what kind of conditions can be changed in the economy to create more jobs. Ruth stated that some employers need flexibility and the ability to have people on call provided through Zero Hour contracts.  Zero Hours contracts reflect the modern economy which is moving away from the standard 9-5.
