Many taxpayers believe that capping benefits is fair, that some people are working really hard and still find it difficult to make ends meet. If those supported by the state earn more than those who are working, it acts as a disincentive to find employment. Solving the problem of poverty isn't as simple as giving families money, we need deregulation to create more jobs, lower the cost of food and fuel, and make housing more affordable.
