Government aid does not have a positive impact

Mark Littlewood speaks to BBC Radio Scotland

As the government lays out plans for countries that will continue to receive foreign aid, Mark Littlewood, IEA Director-General, takes part in a phone-in discussion on BBC Radio Scotland's Call Kaye programme, arguing that, whilst government aid might do something to soothe Western consciences, it does not have a positive impact for those it is intended to help. Aid given by people, rather than governments, tends to be more effective.
