Government lobbying should not be done using taxpayers money

IEA research features in The Sunday Times

A recent IEA publication by Director of Lifestyle Economics Christopher Snowdon feautres in The Sunday Times. In the publication Christopher argues against the funding by the UK government and EU of charities and civil society groups that then use that money to lobby government for causes favoured by the public sector.

Furthermore, he argues that if Charities want to regain their independence and not 'toe the government line' in the risk of funding reprisals, they will have to be less reliant on unrestricted grants from government with no set purpose.
