HS2 is not market viable

Mark Littlewood appears on BBC Radio 5

Mark Littlewood spoke to BBC Radio 5’s Wake Up to Money Programme to discuss HS2. The British Chambers of Commerce argued that HS2 should not be abandoned as it is about improving capacity not speed. Mark made the point that HS2 is not market viable, nor is it the most efficient method in improving transport capacity. Mark advocated improving British roads, which would not require the taxpayer to gamble an estimated £3,000 or more pounds on HS2.
