HS2 will not solve problems in the North and Midlands

Richard Wellings discussed HS2 on the BBC One o'clock News. He argued that there are lots of problems in the north of England and the Midlands that won’t be solved by improved connectivity. He pointed out real world examples, such as Doncaster, which has had a fast rail link for decades but still remains one of the poorest towns in the country.
