New disabillity assesments will not put claimants off

Steve Davies appears on Sunday Politics East

Steve Davies appeared on Sunday Politics East to discuss Disability Living Allowance.

Mr Davies said that new regulations should assess how a disability affects the individual and their work, ensuring that they receive the appropriate funding, therefore potential claimants should want to apply for DLA and it would be a mistake not to. The new regulations will not save much money for the government, that spending will be the same as DLA, the big change will be that those who experience improvement in their disability, or a change in living conditions will find their funding is adjusted accordingly.
