Chris Snowdon appears on BBC Radio Kent

Following calls for restrictions on the use of fixed odds betting terminals (FOBTs), Chris Snowdon appeared on BBC Radio Kent to argue against the proposals.

Mr Snowdon argued that concerns over the use of FOBTs are an example of moral panic and that over-regulation would force gamblers to find other forms of gambling. The market place is moving from traditional dog racing and horse racing towards virtual gambling so we need to be careful that we don't over-regulate the industry.
