Grover Norquist appeared on BBC Radio 4's Today Programme to discuss tax ahead of his speech at the IEA's annual Hayek lecture.
Norquist argued that low taxation increases freedom for the people and allows a higher standard of living. Increasing taxation, he claimed, is the government's way of avoiding governing. Norquist's message to Parliament was reduce taxes to see an increase in economic activity and a decrease in the deficit.
