Steve Davies appeared on BBC Radio 5 Live to discuss the government's plan to privatise the Royal Mail.

By moving the Royal Mail into the private sector, it will be forced handle the pressures all businesses must face to be more innovative, to introduce new products and services, and to adapt to a new environment. While the Royal Mail is currently profitable, the government will have to continue to invest in order to maintain it. By moving it into the market economy, Royal Mail will have access to private capital rather than taking from taxpayers.
