Should governments care about our happiness?

Mark Littlewood appears on BBC One's The Big Questions

Appearing on BBC One's The Big Questions, Mark Littlewood, Director General at the Institute of Economic Affairs, discusses whether the government should seek to enhance our happiness; or whether it should instead leave us alone to pursue our own ideas of happiness.

He also takes part in a discussion on the right to protest. Do movements such as Occupy have the right to set up camp in public spaces and try and take permanent residence?

Watch here (the protest discussion is the first segment, the happiness discussion the second).
