Philip Booth appeared on The Moral Maze on BBC Radio 4 to discuss economic or social apartheid.

It is a moral good for people of all social classes to mix and empathise with each other, but state intervention is counter-productive for this. The current planning system has priced people out of certain areas of the UK and the school system has entrenched the current social divisions. Instead the planning system should reduce restrictions on the number of houses built which should reduce prices, and give parents more freedom to choose where their children go to school.
