The individual, not the government, should choose when to shop

Mark Littlewood appears on BBC Radio 5 Live

Mark Littlewood discusses Sunday trade liberalisation. He argues the case for extended shop opening; in a modern consumer society we should take red tape away from business and allow shops to operate on the seventh day of the week.

It is not the business of politicians and bureaucrats to tell people when they can shop and when they can sell. People should have the choice of when to do their shopping, and it is extraordinary to not widen potential working hours.
