Mark Littlewood appeared on BBC Radio Wales to discuss the privatisation of the Royal Mail.
In many cases, privatisation has been beneficial for the consumer. One important case is British Telecomms: when run by the government a customer could have to wait almost six weeks to have a phone line installed. Mr Littlewood also referred to many industries that were once publically run such as British Airways and Thomas Cook, the travel agency, whose switch to the private sector was controversial in the 1970s, but now many are surprised they were ever run by the government.
