The wealthy cannot be blamed for economic woes

Mark Littlewood appears on BBC R5 with Stephen Nolan

Mark Littlewood appeared on BBC Radio 5 Live to discuss public oponion of the wealthy following the publication of the Sunday Times Rich List.

Following comments that some of the public use events such as the banking crisis to judge the rich, Mr Littlewood argued that it is not fair to assess them in this way. The newest rich list ranks people from numerous backgrounds and indicates the many ways in which they have contributed to society. Many of them have done valuable things and therefore became rich by providing people with products and services that they want or need.

Mr Littlewood went on to state that although wealth should not be the only way in which we judge people (we should also consider how people spread ideas and how hardworking or intelligent people are) it is something that should be judged and applauded.
