Debating the merits of the government's High Speed rail plans on the BBC News Channel with Lord Adonis and Pete Waterman, Dr Richard Wellings, Deputy Editorial Director at the Institute of Economic Affairs, says that there is no economic case for HS2 and that its proposed route into Birmingham means that even the advertised time savings are suspect.
