Vince Cable's attack on capitalism was just bizarre

Last year, Dr Cable suggested whacking a huge tax on those who lived in relatively expensive houses (wrongly dubbed a "mansion tax" - £2m doesn’t come close to buying you a mansion in central London). This year, he’s launched a broadside attack on capitalism itself.

One shudders to think what bizarre outburst the Business Secretary might make to grab the headlines next autumn. Perhaps he will surprise us all and come up with something that encourages free enterprise, improves competitiveness and rewards success. It would certainly make a refreshing change.
