Philip Booth appeared on a special Radio 5 Live programme on homelessness.
Philip explained that the government spends 50% of national income, of which over half is on welfare. If we still see problems such as homelessness, perhaps it is time for radical form of the welfare system. Philip argued that housing costs are at the route of the problem, and planning liberalisation could go some way to reducing living costs and reducing the burden of housing benefit costs.
