We need to remove the disincentives to retire early

Gabriel Sahlgren appears on BBC Radio Sheffield

IEA Research Fellow Gabiel Sahlgren spoke about the health consequences of retirement on BBC Sheffield. Refering to his research, he suggested there are three main ways that retiring diminishes health: less income, less excercise and the loss of social networks. Furthermore he argued for the removal of disincentives to retire early and the need to think carefully about the transition to retirement to ensure good health.
