Art Laffer: Are International Taxes at a Tipping Point?

The IEA were honoured to host Art Laffer, author of the Laffer Curve, for a lunchtime discussion of taxes in Britain and the United States. In a wide-ranging discussion, Dr Laffer discussed the deficit, revenue maximisation and his thoughts on the future.

Recognized by Time Magazine in 1999 as one of “The Great Minds of the Century,” Laffer is best known for the Laffer curve, an illustration of the theory that there exists a tax rate between 0% and 100% that will result in maximum tax revenue for governments.

After the event, IeaTV caught up with Dr Laffer and you can watch the interview here.
