Ruth Porter speaks to BBC Radio London about today's government announcements on changes to social care.
She argues that the plans are a slight improvement on the status quo as people must realise that pensioners themselves are the best people to pay for their own care rather than passing a massive socialised debt on to younger generations. The increasing cost of providing care for the growing numbers of elderly people should not be the responsibility of the taxpayer.
