Patients should pay for their drugs because people lacking wartime stoicism and with unhealthy lifestyles are pushing the NHS towards collapse, a Tory MP said.
“Their perception of pain and suffering is profoundly different to their stoic parents who survived the war,” he told a seminar at the Institute of Economic Affairs.
Dr Lee’s vision was part of a presentation by Free Enterprise Group of Tory MPs on how to tackle Britain’s £1 trillion debt crisis.
