Andrew Lilico appeared on BBC Radio 4 to following calls from David Cameron and Angela Merkel for measures to tackle "aggressive tax avoidance".
Mr Lilico argued that the major "tax havens" have, for many years in fact, had high standards of transparency, legitimacy and tough rules against money laundering. He also stated that the idea that these jurisdictions are specifically designed for tax evasion is completely false.
