Mark Littlewood discussed Margaret Thatcher and her legacy on BBC Radio 3 Night Waves alongside Dominic Sandbrook, Selina Todd, Peter Hitchens, Will Self, Edith Hall and Edwina Currie.
Mr Littlewood stated that Margaret Thatcher brought about a paradigm shift. Ideas discussed in the 1960s, such as the privatisation of telecoms, were considered "wacky" but by the 80s, they were being conducted by Thatcher. He went on to add that many of her policies, particularly the right to buy council housing, were not only important but also symbolic. They represented getting "the dead hand of the state" out of the way and liberating people.
