Mark Littlewood appeared on BBC Newsnight to discuss corporate tax avoidance following the recent legal case regarding behaviour between Goldman Sachs and HMRC.
Mr Littlewood stated that it is reasonable for businesses to expect clarity and closure with regards to tax law and that we should not litigate every tax arrangement "to the last penny". He argued that if tax deals are negotiated inappropriately on behalf of the taxpayer then it is the fault of HMRC staff and not the company involved.
