Philip Booth appeared on BBC Radio Merseyside to discuss the Institute of Economic Affairs and Age Endeavour Fellowship's report on the health risks of retirement.
The report entitled, 'Work Longer, Live Healthier,' shows that in the medium- and long-term retirement can lead to increased health problems including depression and loneliness. The key to retirement, the study says, is to keep active and create a structure that mimics work.
