IEA Fellow Andrew Lilico spoke to Jeremy Vine about the growth of zero-hours contracts.
Zero-hours contracts have been around for many years, althought the vast majority of employees have never used them: They account for less than 1% of the total workforce.
Andrew Lilico argued that they have their place, and are useful for people working part-time or who are on commission. Zero-hours contracts are part of a broad sweep of ways of doing things in the modern labour market.
