Why Donate to the IEA ?
In the current economic climate there is an urgent need, and good opportunity, to remind people of the benefits of free markets and of how they have lifted a billion people out of poverty over the last 25 years. Andrew Marr has described the IEA as "the most influential think tank in modern British political history". You will be investing in an organisation which has proved itself a catalyst for changing consensus and influencing public debate.
As an IEA supporter you are not just a donor. You will receive our publications and be invited to our events at which you will have the opportunity to share your views with us.
Our world continually faces new threats from excessive planning, increasing regulations, and unaffordable tax rates. The IEA, through rigorous research and incisive analysis, offers alternative policy solutions to economic problems, based on free market principles.
We influence the climate of opinion by putting market orientated people onto TV and radio, publishing books on the virtues of the free market, and reaching out to teachers and students who will rapidly become tomorrow's editors, leaders and opinion formers. We host seminars, conferences and working lunches at which we question and debate current policy makers.
IEA publications are sold throughout the world and often translated and reprinted. The libraries of over 150 institutions of higher education subscribe to our titles which include the work of eminent authors, ten of whom were future Nobel Prize winners.
We are proud of our independence from all political parties and vested interests. We accept no corporate donations restricted to particular policy areas or outcomes and no funds from the government. Sales of our publications to students and teachers are heavily subsidised so we rely on people like you.
Our current donors give varying amounts but we recommend a minimum of £300 for individuals or £1000 for companies. The IEA is a registered educational charity and contributions are tax deductible.
Please support our work.
